The picturesque village of Rodopou lies on a long peninsula, approx. 25 kms away from Chania and about 5 km from the nearest beach at Kolimbari. It has about 500 inhabitants and a primary school located in a stone, imposing building with wonderful gardens.There is a bakery and a few traditional “kafenions”. So,If you are seeking the relaxing environment of a traditional Cretan village, not yet touched by tourism, but within easy reach of all amenities, then Rodopou could be just the place for you!
 Explore remote coves and beaches, the  two impressive Byzantine churches of the village and the ruins of  the ancient city of Diktyna about 10 kms away. An excellent day out!
